Happy Valentine’s Day

Today is Valentine’s Day. I hope everyone (like Lauren Goldstein) is having a good one. I had some lovely gigs over the weekend, especially the gig with Son’s of William in Houma, La. Joe’s dad “Wild Bill” kicked ass on stage with us, as did my dad “Wild Cranston.” By the way, my dad had an editorial in Sunday’s paper which everyone should read. He ripped apart an editorial written earlier in the week which encouraged Christians to take back the media and fine arts, just like it was in the good old Dark Ages. Dad reminded all the readers of the Time’s Picayune that during those days, people who supported the Copernican theory that the Earth actually revolved around the Sun were burned at the stake. It was a very radical rebuttle. Anyway, both dads kicked ass in Houma and I hope we all get to be on stage again soon. Blair’s gig at the House of Blues also rocked. I met Melanie (melaniethinks) and I hope that she will add me to her friends list as I still haven’t figured out how to add anyone to mine. Somebody please post a comment on my journal and tell me what to do! I hope y’all will come out to our next Blair show which will be at the Neutral Ground on the 23rd at 7:00. Keep it real…

Annie, I totally have to read that editorial!
Last night after tutoring Joey I was supposed to drop him off at Steve’s when he started playing some video game where you can’t save until you get to a save sphere or something. Your mom was like “Joey, you can’t expect Lauren to wait for you forever” and Joey goes, “Oh, ain’t that the truth!” Anyway he got a 100 on his social studies test while I was in New York so clearly your mom is better at studying with Joey than I.
