I’m in L.A.

So I’m in L.A. and I’m having a lovely time. I’m hanging in the studio with Van Hunt and singing some background vocals on his new record. I have some shows coming up this weekend in Mobile and next weekend in Atlanta. I’ll be in Baton Rouge on the 26th and Mobile and the 28th and the 29th with Sons of William opening for Marc Broussard. L.A. is so beautiful and it’s nice to get away from the madness in Louisiana. My mom’s house is now completely gutted and being remodeled and my apartment is finally being rid of some disgusting mold. My sister has been blowing me off since I’ve been out here which is annoying. She’s at UCLA and involved with school and her boyfriend and stuff, plus she’s 19, but i’m still miffed. Oh well. I’m sitting in the studio right now checking out this awesome track and typing on my friend Libby’s computer. She rocks. The whole no-carb thing isn’t really working out. I go all day without them and then I drink my weight in carbs at night on tour. Plus I’ve been having messed up dreams about pies and girl-scout cookies. I had a dream the other night that I stole a delicious pie from a blind man at a restaurant after my waiter told me I had to eat cardboard soaked in alcohol for dinner and he was going to charge me $50 for it. Weird. I sure love cookies. I sure love L.A. I want everyone to move here. For pete’s sake, I went swimming yesterday. Yes!
